The river winds out through the bay near Portnoo before meeting the Atlantic, weaving through sandbars that rearrange themselves with every tide. Never the same place twice. I made this on a calm day with the water coming in fast. That crescent of sand at the top of the frame was the last piece still exposed. Twenty minutes later it was gone, just another shape beneath the surface. The timing was tight,
