Nocturne, St. Finbar's Oratory, Gougane Barra, Co. CorkSt. Finbar's Oratory at Gougane Barra, photographed on a still evening after the last daylight had faded from the hills. The interior lighting throws warm gold through that Romanesque doorway, and the lake surface was calm enough to hold a near perfect reflection. Mist was settling into the valley behind, softening the treeline into grey. I live about fifteen minutes from Gougane Barra, and I've photographed this building in every kind of weather. But
